I love it.just wait till the panic police see it
Dude you were hunting from an old utility belt? Looks like a phone company one. Most the linemen run leather. Not bad for leaning if you’re ok with the pressure all on your back and hips but I think you’re gonna find new saddles a huge step up in comfortThought you all might enjoy seeing what brought me to this forum. I bought this from a yard sale back in 1998. Hunted with it till 2016 when the belt shrunk on me! Started looking for a bigger one and found this place! Been an adventure sense!View attachment 69705View attachment 69706
What do you mean? Those are 5000 lbs metal rings on each side of that thing. I spend hours upon hours on them. Nothing for anyone to panic about as long as you don’t fall lolI love it.just wait till the panic police see it

I can tell you first hand a short fall on a utility belt doesn’t feel good. But it’s designed differently than a saddle or a RCH
That’s an old school 4-D arborist saddle. Buckingham and Weaver Leather still make them, do you know what company made that one? Never saw a blue one. I’ve used one before, when suspended from an overhead tie in point, it squeezes the thighs together, so hinders mobility a bit. There’s definitely working climbers still doing their thing with that type saddle.
