Saddle Hunting Backpack

Yeah man, what ever works for you. I’m short and used full length LoneWolf sticks for probably 10 years. It all depends on your terrain also. Too high and you catch branches and vines, too low and down trees and ditches catch the sticks. I have no regrets going to short sticks. To each their own.
How many short sticks can get you 20 ft without aiders? Any preference on sticks?

I’ve tried several packs out since last season. Basically I’ve gone full circle and ended up with what I was using at the end of last season. The Hill People Gear Tarahumara has some simple storage and two compression straps. The most I’ll carry is 3 mini LW sticks and a scout which it handles great.

Probably 5 depending on your spacing. But I never used more than 4. I shoot a trad bow and rather stay low because I’m not shooting far. 12-15ft is my norm. Can stretch that with a Carry as You Go Aider but aiders aggravate me. This year I’m trying the cable aiders on my short LoneWolf sticks. So far I like them but hunting season will be the true test. I don’t like more than a 1step aider if I need one. The cable aider puts my short sticks back to heights of long sticks. And with the side stacking mod, they should pack well. Not sure if I’ll go 2 on each side or 4 across the front.
