We have a pig problem on my lease so I decided today was a good day to try my new pistol out. I bought the gun about a month ago and got it all setup and dialed in. Work has been crazy and I just started a new project this week so before we really get rolling on the 6 day work schedule I gave everyone the weekend off.
We run a select few feeders year round just for summer fun in the club. I got my wind right and climbed up for a early morning sunrise. As soon as the feeder spun the food plot/field filled up with vermin. Was a pack of boar hogs, not my preferred targets but Buford was hungry for some action.
I know people have an issue with head shooting game but leaning against the bridge gave me a very solid rest and when the crosshairs settled on his ear the hammer dropped. Instant sleep for said swine. 65 yard shot with a S&W 686 Plus Deluxe 7” 357 magnum shooting 140 grain Barnes Vortex XPB Copper. Now for the cleaning part.
