Saddle Riding Up?

Mine rides up bad too but wearing it lower is the only thing that seems to help besides lowering my tether

Really liking the idea of the tri slides. I run a fixed webbing bridge now. Might have to give it a try.

Can anyone suggest a method to keep the bridge lower on the loops? I played with that too and it seemed to help, but I couldn’t get it to stay in that position.

I girth hitch my bridge to the loops.

This is a timely thread as I am about to order a flex and wasn't sure which bridge to go with. I saw the video of the webbed bridge and being able to lower or raise the location on the saddle loops.
Is the factory bridge from AH good enough or should I consider an alternative? Ideally, I would like to be able to unhook quickly if at all possible.

The girth hitch doesn't seem to work for me. @Allegheny Tom clarified how he does it in another thread, so I am going to try it. One thing, I think the Mantis loops are smoother that the Arohunter loops. That may play into my situation.

The thing about a girth is that it can't much be improved upon. If it doesn't do the job, there isn't anything to do to make it work better.
But with wraps, you can add more wraps (which creates more surface friction and less slippage) or you can alter the pattern of the wrap with clove hitching, criss crossing, etc.

And jamming the slide tight against the saddle loops seems to help keep my wraps tighter around the saddle loops. Having the slide an inch or so away from the saddle loops can allow the webbing to be not tight on the saddle loop when the weight on the bridge is unloaded. Keep the slide tight against the saddle.

I also think that a wrap should be stronger than a girth. With a girth all of the strength and integrity is at the mercy of that loop not breaking. The webbing actually reverses across itself and could have a wearing effect on that loop (the loop in the webbing).

But the wrap allows the webbing to lay in a continuous direction and nice and flat and never cuts or binds against itself.
Hope I explained that so its understandable.
