Saddle setup 2022

Took the plunge and starting to achieve one of my hunting goals this season. Hunt from a saddle.

Mixed my setup a little bit after looking at them for a while (and budget)
Beast stick, predator platform, and covert lite saddle in hand.

Going to attempt one stick climb this year. Researching the technique and starting to practice it a little at a time.

I believe I have 98% of everything and will DIY the gear hangar.

Good luck this year. For the gear hanger, I just girth hitch my linemans belt around the tree and hold it in place with a bungee ball cord, then hang my pack off the caribiner. I then use nite ize ties to hang anything off of it. Works great.

If you’re rappelling down, and you should, don’t underestimate being all set up to yank that dang rope down. And don’t put your fingers under the tether. Good luck!

Plan on lowering your bow or gun. Hook that cord right behind your oval and you’ll not fight getting your rappelling rope down……it works for me!

May want to pick up a set of sticks in case one sticking doesn’t work out. Doesn’t have to be the high dollar ones.
