Anytime I'm looking for a new saddle to try, I seem to spend weeks trying to find info on specific saddle measurements, sizes and how they fit different people. There is a lot of info out there, but it can be a pain to look all over the place for it. For new users and old, I thought I'd start a thread where people can eventually find everything in one place. I think it would be helpful if people would post exact measurements of their saddles and themselves so that buyers can make an informed decision on which saddle will work best for them. Hopefully this thread will gain some traction and eventually we can get some info on as many saddles and sizes as possible.

Things to include would be...
Saddle name
Saddle size
Width of the seat
Height of the seat with closed pleat
Height with opened pleat
Length of lineman loop to lineman loop
Length of bridge loop to bridge loop
User's height
User's weight
User's waist size (smallest measurement around the middle)
User's hip size (largest measurement around the hips)
User's pant size
Sitter/leaner/both
Anything else useful

Saddle: Aero Hunter Flex
Size: 1
Suggested Waist: 26” - 36”
Seat height closed pleat: 13”
Seat height open plear: 16.5”
Seat width: 23.5”
Bridge to bridge: 34.5”
Lineman to lineman: 29”

My Specs
Height: 5' 10
Weight: 165 lbs
Waist: 31”
Hips: 38”
Pant Size: 31
Sit and lean but more of a sitter

Love my flex. Found it slightly more comfortable than the Medium H2 and way more comfortable than the Large Mantis. I’ve found that it fits me better when I pin half of the pleat closed and leave half of it open.

Weight: 190 lbs
Waist: 32”
Hips: 35.5”

I have only ever owned two saddles, this and a L mantis. I didn't think I found the mantis all that uncomfortable until I tried the H2.

Kestrel Flex Size 1. Same specs as above
6' 205 (maybe 210ish during beer season)
34-36 pants
39 waist
42 hips
34 inseam
I lean and sit both.

I had a mantis. I liked a lot about it, but I did not love long sits in it. At first it rode up constantly. Once i figured that out, it was digging into my hips and back a lot. It wasn't comfortable. I bought the flex and I LOVE it. I was torn on size one or size 2. I think I could have gone either way. I need the pleat the whole way open for the flex to be at max comfort. I also have the rope bridge from aero hunter on my flex and I really love that also.

I will have to disagree with backstrap19 I have Kestrel Flex Size 2
I have 34 waist and 30 length paints. I could of went a size 1 with areo hunter flex because I at the mid point between the different sizes. If you add hunting clothes to the equation better off getting a size 2 because your hunting clothing is bigger and more thicker. I live in Wisconsin

Do you mind posting the exact measurements of the Flex size 2?

I think your disagreement is the exact reason for this post. it sounds like we could wear the same size pants in the waist, but your 30 inseam is quite a bit different than my 34 inseam. our bodies are probably not shaped the same. that has a huge impact on how a saddle wears on a guy. some people have a lot of "junk in the trunk". some don't. some people are long and thin, some are not. I think that @BJRoth2 is trying to get a better picture of how big a saddle is, and how it wears on certain body types so that people can try to make a more informed decision when they try to choose a size for their saddle. i'll go back to my post and edit in the inseam, in case that helps some people.

You make some valid points backstrap19 i have a little bit of a bot belly about 30lbs over wieght. Its not huge pot belly in general though if your measurements are on the border the size 1&2 i would choose a size 2 especially your hunting in the noth your dressing in layers. The best solution if its your budget is to buy both sizes and return one of them. I am ectomorph body type

Great idea @BJRoth2. This info should be very helpful!!

back in 2019 i bought a Aero Hunter Kestrel Flex Kit size 2 it fit well . I returned my tree saddle a month ago because of stitching issues. I tried on this last week it's to big for for me. it appears to me for whatever reason the size 2 is bigger. I a am size 34 in the waist so would stick within thier guidelines. So i was dead wrong i plan on selling tree saddle and getting a new one in size 1 after i have some friends try it out.size 2 is really big now this year.

Cruzr size three

15.5 by 28

Open pleat 20 inches.

Huge. I have a 37 waist and a size two would likely fit

It is comfortable. Because it is a hammock
