I plan to carry my handgun while hunting in the saddle, I was wondering what methods/options were out there. And what works and what was more trouble than they were worth.

I plan on wearing my saddle in but that might change.

I plan on trying a shoulder holster. Chest holster might be decent too but not sure how it would work with drawing the bow. Maybe not super stylish but a fanny pack could be an option too. Last option is just stash it to be quickly accessible in the hunting pack.

I was wondering the same thing about a chest holster with drawing the bow back. I'm hoping that while hanging, the need would be minimal, but some things bigger and stronger than me can climb trees way faster than I can.

Im honestly trying to avoid chest holsters if I can. Im not a fan of them. I was just wanting to see some other creative ways yall might be doing it.

I was editing my earlier post at the same time, but I've been looking into a holster that has a molle attachment too. This would keep it still on the waist and accessible.

Im using a Kestral Flex it has two rows of molle webbing, my only issue is that it would flop around too much.

Alien Gear makes a really nice molle compatible holster. If used in conjunction with a battle belt, it would be perfect!
