Safety is my concern

I’m New to the saddle hunting community and my question is about tma safety rating or certification.
when I looked up h2 saddles they have a disclaimer about tma not certifying or rating saddles. So are any saddles tma certified?
If not should I be using a backup harness for safety with a commercial saddle?
I know that I’m try a sit drag now and it’s not rated for that kind of use, but I wear my hss harness for the safety aspect of the climb and sit.
 
I don't believe any saddles are TMA certified. I vaguely recall some members mentioning TMA certified harnesses must have shoulder straps, which no saddle does.

H2 saddles I believe are officially for ground use only. The larger companies (Tethrd, Aero Hunter, Trophyline, etc.) do not carry such a disclaimer.

For what it's worth, the "ground use defense" is about as useful as tits on a bull. Those fantasy disclaimers mean nothing in the product liability world when de facto intended use is clear as can be.
 
the "ground use only" clause is just a CYA, all of the main companies right now have done tests to prove the strength of their saddles. if youre really iffy about it, wear a good rock climbing harness under it.
