Ok guys so I was looking at the Noobie advice sticky and one of the ropes that’s recommended is Samson “Hot”. The Predator is still out of stock so I ordered two 10 foot pieces of the “Hot” with 5 inch braided loops on one end to use as my tether and linesman. I also bought 2, 8mm sewn loop prussic cords to run distel hitches on my 2 ropes. Anyway I was just wondering if anyone who uses the “Hot” felt like deer were picking them off with that orange color. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not a camo nazi. I routinely just deer hunt in muted browns, greens, greys and blacks with no actual “camo” on But Dang that Samson Hot is bright orange! I mean I guess it’s no different than wearing a blaze orange cap. Just curious if any of you have used it and what was (is) your opinion on this? Also BTW, Wespur’s customer service is top notch! Thanks!

My opinion is that movement will get you picked off far more than any colors that you have.
I do avoid the blue spectrum because deer can see that. Also, UV which is likely present in most camo and ropes. I wouldn't worry about the orange. Pick your movements carefully with a good backdrop of the leaf canopy and you will be killing deer.

Ageed on the movement and background. That’s definitely what I’ve always tried to do with any of my stand locations. Both Preset or run and gun (lone wolf and sticks). I just received those ropes a couple days ago and hadn’t had a chance to get in a tree with them until this morning. Turns out I couldn’t really see them at all, so I think jumped the gun on how much I thought they’d stand out! Thanks for the reply Us326544!
