Saw this "Saddles Are For Horses" t-shirt by Novix and didn't know if I should laugh or be disappointed...

Does this t-shirt make saddle hunters less likely to buy this brand of climbing sticks?
That's what I'm wondering. I posted this not because I'm offended or upset. As I said in the initial post, when I first saw it I didn't know if I wanted to laugh or be disappointed. I don't personally care for that style of marketing or advertising but it definitely doesn't make me lose any sleep. I was really just wondering how others viewed it. I was curious if this type of marketing would turn saddle hunters away from their products.

It’s the same ole thing as the classic ford, chevy, dodge, rivalry. I do know however, that even though we all think that the “saddle” in the world of saddle hunting vernacular is main stream now… and it’s getting there for sure, many, many more people still associate a saddle with a horse, not a deer.

Personally I think it’s as funny as Dan Infault doing the video about “don’t pee on your boots…
Equally as funny is Novix doesn’t mind making that extra money from saddle hunters, or they wouldn’t make the platforms for trophyline

so no reason to be disappointed or any of that, take it for what it is, a bad attempt at being funny

Not in my opinion. What makes me unlikely to buy another set of them, is how small the stand off distance is. I felt like I was barely on my tippy toes. But I tell anyone who asks me, if you have a size 10 shoe or smaller they are the best stick out there for the price…

I agree, while running the booth at the Dixie Deer Classic I was surprised at just how many guys stopped to watch and said they’d never heard of saddle hunting. We get in our own little saddle bubble and think everyone knows about it.

I believe they call that an echo chamber. Saddle hunting is definitely more mainstream than it was five years ago but there are still plenty of people hunting out of their tried and true Summits. Novix has been quality stuff from what I’ve seen. I have their mini sticks, had a couple of their platforms, and recently got a gently used Helo. I think they’re just catering to their hang on market. Seeing as they don’t sell their platforms on their website.

Yeah... they have no market with 2 tether guys, single step guys, ring of step guys.or on the whole west coast.only saddle hunters who have converted from stands ,dont know any other way ....echo chamber...,and dont mind delivering metal to a tree instead of hunting.

1 sticking.....echo chamber......why? .......they are so used to their sticks.even with all the kickouts and other accidents.they are still in their comfort zone with injuries .
