Seek One + Hunt Urban Masterclass

I won't lie and say I haven't ever been tempted by these. The only one I almost signed up for was the in person Dan Infalt scouting class where you actually walk around properties. But then I thought, he's in Wisconsin and I hunt 100 times thicker properties here in Tennessee so it probably won't translate very well. I decided just to commit to getting into the woods with ALL my spare time. I gave up all additional hobbies. Use to play drums: pause that. Used to play tennis: pause that. This all added up to 22 different scouting sessions for 2021 and 50 hunts. All these trips are usually only 2-4 hours cuz I live right next to a large WMA. Deciding to put down other things and just become a woodsman has helped me kill more deer than any of these classes could. This is just my opinion.
Best advice I've read in a long, long time!!

One of the few regrets I have is not doing wensels class when they had it. Smart guys.
"Bowhunting October Whitetails" from the Wensels is still my all-time favorite Bowhunting Video bar none!!!

Here's the SparkNotes. Urban deer have close to zero pressure if not zero, so mature bucks are going to be off guard and more likely to waltz around in broad daylight as long as you leave minimal scent on their trails/bedding areas. Grow a pair and ask homeowners if you can hunt off their back porch hiding up against the pool house. Its like the rejection game at the college bar scene...ask enough girls to come home with you and eventually one of them is gonna go for it. Start with the hottest one in the place and work your way down from there lol. Once you get used to people saying no it gets easier.
If you're willing to make it even easier throw a feeder back there. If this whole idea gets you razzed up then good for you. There...saved you a bunch of money. Now you are an urban hunting master.

I have shot bucks this way, minus the feeder. Its not even close to as satisfying as shooting a deer in big timber or public. Almost makes me feel guilty after i kill it. Add a corn feeder and to me its not even hunting anymore, its just killing a beautiful animal. I think some of the homeowners feel the same way when you drag it out by their reaction. Forget the lackadaisical hunting methods you might get used to while hunting backyards when you switch back to public or a lease that's had pressure.
Exactly this. I’ve knocked on tons of doors and sent literally hundreds of letters and have about a 5% success rate. I shot one deer in an urban setting and felt like colossal berk afterwards dragging it out with the neighbors watching me.
It’s like mid 20s college grads hitting on high schoolers. I guess maybe if you had a parcel that was larger, think 10+ acres maybe but most plots are small in urban settings. Nothing like having to knock on three different sets of doors seeking permission to cross property lines to recover a deer. Only way I’d do it again is for a friend or maaaybe if I was in a meat crisis.

Agreed. I’m a younger guy too. Barry’s hunting tips DVDs from last yr are pretty darn good too.

I’m finally in.. Drew emailed me a gift card this morning & you have to use it to login.
I paid on the 10th & finally got in on the 20th; it’s a little slow getting in, but I’ve got a years access basically so I’m good with it.
Just wanted y’all to know that I did get in & it’s looking promising for me anyway.

Better off watching Dan of the Hunting Beast or Jeff from Whitetail Habitat Solutions

I have watched him & I'm taking this course & learning from it also. Guaranteed these guys can smoke bucks on any club.
They're not idiots. It's very in depth & I'd recommend it to anyone new to archery or hunting.
It includes 8 hours of audio podcasts & plenty of other stuff..
I can learn from probably anyone tho.. so I understand if soneone is a guru & they don't need it..
Dan is great, Jason Samkowiak is awesome.. I'm learning, so be patient with me.

Has anyone gone through their video masterclass? Or is there a podcast or video that goes more in depth from the (whether from Seek One, Hunt Urban or someone else giving a review)? I'm interested to hear some feedback.
It's great DC.. I'm in & it's worth more than they're charging. Maybe these other gurus should put out a free DVD teaching folks how to be the hunter they are..
