Setup breakdown in new growth pines.

The briars in those areas can get quite nasty.

I spent the better part of the day Sunday walking pine rows. I found all kinds of examples of stuff I wanna share with u peeps but it impossible to get a pic that shows what I'm trying to portray without climbing up a tree and getting a pic from elevated. The phone in ur hand can't take in the whole spectrum of what's going on.

Here's the over head of the area I was exploringScreenshot_20230827-081245~2.png

Here is a little "island" of young pines out in the pine rows. There was a deer laying down in there I jumped upScreenshot_20230828-122021~2.png

I made it out to those landing zones I showed u guys in previous pics couple weeks ago but I couldn't get any photos of it to show u anything to learn....photos just looked like tons of dog fennel and pine bark. It looked real good in there in person and I plan to hunt it unless something changes. Nothing really exciting but enough trails congregating and poo balls that I want to revisit come closer to gun season when I have my quota. It was a hike to get there so hopefully the peeps who hunt in there before me do their usual routine of staying 100yds from the road

Thank you for some good stuff!

I hunt places like that. In my opinion a regular saddle unless you are a leaner is tough to hunt that type of tree. You can’t get your knees on something that small. This is where my JX3 comes in handy. The fork holds you on the tree and you can sit steady and comfortable.
