I found an econosew ddl8700 with clutch motor and table for 400. Appears to be in good condition. They said I could try it out before buying. Is that a decent price? Is there anything to look for on this machine. I'm under the impression this is the same thing as a juki.

That seems a bit expensive for the clutch motor. I bought the Juki 8700h for $750 from Amazon. Doing a Google search it looks like you can get a brand new econosew ddl8700 with a service motor for $469.

The clutch motor isn't as nice to use as the servo motor. Also, keep in mind that it will be most likely a Chinese clone.

I'll have to search more. I just quickly looked and didn't see them that cheap.
Thanks.

Definitely spend the extra money for the servo motor though.
