My sewing machine does not have a speed adjustment, which causes me a lot of headache. So i jammed a rolled up sock into the foot pedal. It gives me more control and the ability to run faster if i get into a groove. Just thought id throw that out there. I know there are lots of other ways. Youtube is a beast for sewing hacks. I also have a hack for larger spools that arent accommodated by my home machine. Add a eye screw to an empty thread spool, and place it on the normal spool holder. Place your large spool underneath and thread up to the eye screw then through your machine. Youtube hack. Hope this helps somebody!
