I have a new old stock, Shakespeare Sierra X-18, still in plastic bag with original unopened string and warranty card from factory. Bow is pristine. 52 inch recurve. 45# at 28" I bought this but couldnt bring myself to string it. Didn't want to be the one to put the first scratch in this beauty. Hoping someone on the forum would like to purchase and put to good use. Asking $225 plus shipping. More pics available upon request. Thanks

Any history on this bow? How has it never been strung in almost 50 years? I have an X30 from a similar time and they are great bows for their age.

I wish I had some history to share but its provenance is unknown to me. I have a few other Shakespeare bows and happened to find this one at auction a while back. Knowing how well the Shakespeare bows i have shoot, and intending on going mostly traditional next season, I jumped on the opportunity to pick up a bow of this age in a new condition. I don't know anything else but it looks new, came in what seemed like an original bag with a Shakespeare warranty card and new unopened string. Just couldn't bring myself to string it up. My path in traditional archery has lead me to longbows and so I will be selling a few of the recurves I purchased as I was working my poundage up and trying out new bows. Hope that helps. Thanks for looking. I agree with you on them being great bows. I have a super Neceda that I will never sell. Shoots darts.
