Sharing Back Band Patterns/Designs

So I tried the fleece saddle style backband and it worked easily and was very comfortable. I had built an initial fleece saddle, and found it to be too short, hip to hip. So I cut and made a wider one but tried the old short one as the backband. I took an old kneepad and cut about 3 by 18 piece, and rounded the corners. I rolled it into the saddle and had a backband! Give it a try....

I was worried the fleece would be bulky. How does it pack?

I had an old free harness that came with deer stand. Cut the linemans belt section off and used another piece for deer drag. Used 550 paracord and prussic knot. Prussic is of a softer paracord. Still didnt hold real good so added an extra loop. Works great and was all stuff i already had

Because of the knee pad material, it doesn't really pack down much. I actually measured it and it's 3 1/2" by 13 1/2" I can stuff it into may backpack pretty easy.

I havent used it yet but I recently made myself a vest to carry most of my gear and I intigrated a little loop into it that I can hook to a bit of paracord on a plastic camjam to make the vest itself function as a back band. Plan on testing it out soon.

Here is my attempt. Had this shoulder strap laying around. Each end has a buckle that connects to small prusiks on each side of the bridge for adjustability and quick connection. Rolls up pretty compact.
