Sharpening grizzly broadheads

O

Lol oh y’all are using grizzlies and I’m am thinking grizzly stik. I haven’t ever used original grizzlies because anytime I’ve seen them, they were glue ons like the Zwickies and I wasn’t a fan of glue ons …. Scratch my ideas about getting one from green acres then lol
U should have know something was up.... budget and grizzlystik usually don't go together.
Yes...these have steel ferrule and glued?....maybe chemical weld
Hehehe

All I use is a Lansky jig and a 3-sided beveled diamond jewel stick. Then on the flat side I just run it flat on a arizona stone to take the bur off. Takes only a few minutes per head to shave hair....and that's from out of the box Grizzlies which mentioned before...won't cut bread.

A 3 pack of the 200 grain over kills is $54.99. I used to pay 39.99 for a 3 pack of 100 grain montec G5’s. To me $15 for 3 much better broad heads was budget friendly lol now those $129.99 forged steel that is not budget friendly lol

So u would choose an aluminum ferrule over steel? I don't care either way but should make 4 good debate.

I’ve only been using those broad heads for 2 seasons. So far through 11 hogs and 2 deer, I have yet to mess up an aluminum ferrel. Steel would be preferable but not as economic lol

U a killer

One solid piece is obviously the best choice. I don't know which style would be the more robust choice....steel ferrule glued in to a "solid" (welded or brazed) blade or aluminum ferrule with a much thinner blade held in by a weenie screw. I assume the blade had an appropriate cut out or notch plus the ween screw holding it in. Obviously they both work pretty well and as weekend warriors we probably never get to see the difference in real life...

Anyway....I can touch up my broadhead tonight and take some pics if u want me too @Teddy9871

I am a terrible killer lol I am just good at stumbling across pigs. I’ve missed my best deer opportunities of the last few years.
