Just asking a conversation here. Is it hard to ship into Canada from the states. Just wondering if it would help you guys out. I would be willing to ship boxes to you from the states. Provided there is nothing illegal about it. Most places in the states are free shipping over 100$ ruffly. But if there was multiple things that cost you lots to ship each individual item. I would gladly help any of you guys out by packing them together into one and shipping it. Just to reference. Lower Michigan to Outside of Toronto for a 4lb package says 38$. It says there is some other fees not shown. So not sure how much that is. But if it helps some of your guys out I would be glad to help you out.
Has anyone done anything like this? Or does it not pay to do it that way either.

We’ll…….our dollar is at .79c that doesn’t help. Also, we are taxed to death up here.
You’re right. Shipping is expensive. I don’t know why it’s so much more. Likely processing fees for brokers, etc.
then when it gets here, we have to pay duty on whatever is coming in.
If I were to buy a Saddle for $275 U. S. By the time it arrived I’d be in for close to $500 CAN.

It’s a good thought. Maybe there’s a Canuck with more insight.

There is a saddle Hunter up here starting to import gear from the states. He’s only working with a few companies so far but the list keeps growing.

I find that duty for stuff crossing the border is hit or miss. Sometimes you get dinged and other times not.

The worst though is if an item is shipped by UPS. They are rapacious on charging brokerage fees. Neither Fedex nor USPS seem to do this, just UPS. If I have any alternative other than UPS for shipping, I always take it, even if it's USPS with no tracking and takes longer.

Ordering from EWO is nice....they automatically use USPS for Canukian customers, to save on the outrageous UPS fees.

One of the best is First Lite. They quote prices in Canuck bucks and those prices include all taxes/duty and such. Only thing extra is shipping, and that is by FedEx and is very reasonable, relatively speaking.

So hunting gear costs more if you need it shipped across the border. But if you get sick here, you don't lose your house. LOL
