So I have been wanting to try these as an alternative to a micro pulley or a ropeman. Just trying to keep the set up K.I.S.S. as possible. They are back in stock at Tree Stuff & also at East Coast lumber. I just got them today

I've been using one for 6 months on my linemens belt and they work, But they're grossly overpriced for what you get. You can get a rated micro pulley that's midline attachable for the same price! I wish they'd come down on the price!

I picked up two of them. I agree on the micro pulley.

I use them and like them a lot. Makes one hand adjusting your Blake’s hitch or other knots easy.

For $8 you can use a ring, works pretty good. Smaller ring would be better.

I had a ropeman on my lineman's belt and liked it but wasn't fully convinced it was a great way to go. I was really intrigued seeing the setup on the new kestrel, then the rope slider, then the ring-only approach. So this was my take on those. The "ring" came off of an old camelbak sleeve that I never use. I may eventually get some pre-spliced/sewn cord to reduce the bulk, but otherwise I'm sold on this setup's ease-of-use, cost, weight, and noise.

I like it, I am sure I have something like that around here. The smaller ring should work better than what I have now.
