Silencing strap on step platform

Another great video. I don't use these steps, but I bet others who do would like more info on that screw mod. My buddy had those steps and he complained about kick out and that screw mod likely fixes that.

I just drilled a hole and screwed small lag bolts in the to where a 1/4 inch is exposed. 5 min mod :)

How long have you been using them like that? In my experience, this works for about a season before they begin to wallow out the pre-drilled holes.

Thanks,
Boswell

Some I've had for over a decade... Have never had a single one go south

Excellent video! I've been looking for ways to silence my steps, and your carrying method seems simple enough as well.

What kind of inner tube do you use to silence the buckles on straps? (referring to the video about your DIY platform where you used a Lone Wolf strap and covered the buckle with inner tube)

Great job once again Dave.
I noticed a noise where the rubber soles on my boots would squeak on the step so I wrapped the step part with camo form. It solved the problem and also helped silence them a lot from clanging together while setting up.
