Simple kickstand

I'm a weight weenie. There... I said it. I own it. As part of being an oz counter, I had to find a better solution than carrying a steel bow holder around with me. Found that carbon arrow shafts cut down (20" for my application) with a small o-ring did the trick. The two extra arrow shafts fit nicely on my bow blind. Don't even notice they're there. To prevent the arrow shafts from falling down on the ground when you remove your bow for a shot, screw regular 100gr field tips into the inserts and sink the shafts into the ground about an inch.

Great idea. I was scrounging around in the basement last night looking for something to make a ground holder out of. Like this idea. Loving my new Waldrop you boys turned me on to.

You know if you omit the 2 carbon arrows you are using as a kickstand and just hold it in your hand imagine how much lighter that bow gonna be when you carry into the woods. Heck maybe a extra mile in

That’s a great idea!!! If you wanted to finish the ends up that cradle the bow You could glue in cheap light inserts and then screw in two rubber bludgeon style heads or even just a same diameter steel blunt tip and wrap them with vet wrap or something. Yes you’d be adding 200 + grains to the setup but then you could say you went all heavy arrow!

Plus it doubles up as a shield of shame that way when he misses …the deer can’t see his sad face because those tuning forks he has on his bow just happen to find some water as he released causing the miss

Bow blinds for sale

I absolutely fell in love with the bow blind made world famous by @DaveT1963 (video linked below) so I made one for myself and it turned out super-awesome. Dave has already told the masses how to make them, but I figured there are a probably couple folks that would rather purchase a ready-made...

Found that I didn't like giving up a slot in my quiver (4 broadheads and a small game flu-flu) for the bow blind so I used a set of piggy-backers instead. Really like how it operates now.

I don't have a flo yellow and hot pink bow blind built for the Nitro yet so I had to improvise to carry a bow stand.

Never did like how piggy-backers take a slot away from your overall magazine so I integrated one into the stand itself. Drilled a hole in the middle of the piggy-backer and it turned one slot into 2!

Paracord with knots in each end forms a nice cradle for the bow to sit in.

Yes sir. It'll hold a bow in high wind with an arrow on the rest. We had 40mph gusts the other day and I set it up outside specifically to test in windy conditions.
