I was just given this machine but dont know much about makes and models. Is this going to be a good one for sewing saddle related items other than fall arrest/load bearing or should I keep looking? To me it seems that I can barely get the foot high enough to put straps and other thicker materials under it. Is this the product of a “commercial” machine as opposed to an “industrial” one or is there something wrong with the internal spring that lifts the foot?
