27.5 DL and 71#. The arrow was 468 grains and probably about 15% foc. He dropped in about 30 yards. I think I’m trying to say is that any time you go to an extreme many things are passed over. I live in Colorado and shots over 60 are very possible. That’s not happening with 650 grains. In fact, with all the elk I have killed, none have been with anything over 470 grains. A well balanced arrow for your situation may be better that just fixating on one factor.
