Just a question out of curiosity since all the new saddle companies have risen. Is anyone still using the sit drag? I pulled mine out the other day and still find it really comfortable. It’s what I primarily hunted out of last year and took two bucks from. I think it’s lucky and am hesitant about putting it away.

I only got away from the sitdrag for one sticking, rappelling, and drt climbing. I agree there is nothing wrong with them and they are plenty comfortable. I would go as far as to say even more comfortable than half of the saddles I have sat in.

I'm just starting out with the saddle this year and went the sit drag route. Seems like it'll work fine and honestly, I like the safety factor with a second attachment to the tether (rock harness)

I always keep mine in my truck just in case. Love it and might accidentally forget my saddle on purpose on of these days to use it again.

Been using mine for two years and love it. One stick and SRT with it. I run a belt through the bridge loops. Started using a harness in conjunction with it and don’t even realize it’s on. Going to try two this year.

See my other post in this forum from just a moment ago; I used the same sit drag for 3 seasons, zero issues and now I might be breaking it back out tomorrow

I keep trying others for some reason but so far the Sitdrag and battle belt combo can't be beat for comfort and versatility.

I'm after spending all this time getting it done I'm not going to give it up until I fill it's not safe using any more!

Same here. First season with a saddle. Going "old school" I guess with the sit drag + RCH.

I used one all last hunting season. It worked well. I have sewed a DIY Yellow Jacket saddle which I will use this year. It is based on the sitdrag design.

Started with a sitdrag and climbing harness. Tried the game changing mantis. Went back to the sitdrag with a battle belt and no harness. I don't have any plans to use anything else.

I used it last year with RCH. I’m using a mantis this year just so I’ve got one piece instead of two. Other than that there’s nothing wrong with a sitdrag. Sitdrag with RCH works fine for me.

i loved the sitdrag, but as it got colder the RCH got more uncomfortable to wear and harder to put on with layers. if i lived in a warmer environment id have no problems switching back

I have elastic strips sewn into mine and slide in a cut piece of sleeping mat when it’s cold. 1/2” thickness of foam insulation goes a long way

my problem was that the bulkiness of my snowpants bunched up my crotch area in the rch while hanging. and the bulky layers made the rch hard to get on

I guess I’ve not experienced that, but I’ve never used a RCH with it. The sewn in belt is much easier to deal with

ive got just big bulky fleet store coverall snowpants, and i really shouldve gotten a size smaller, so that adds to the bulk. i grew to trust my sitdrag quite a bit, but i couldnt muster the balls to take the rch off, im a bitch about heights. with a weight bearing belt i could see that being much more comfortable and easy to put on. i loved the sitdrag, and if it wasnt for cold weather i would probably switch right back to it

Still using mine 3 years strong. Tempted by the Method Classic tho.
