Anyone have experience with both of these pieces to compare? My wife has a furnace set but i haven’t had my hands on the Sitka 330. Picking up some new bases to go under my stratus/ ambient 200 jackets for late season

The 330 to me isnt much heavier than the core heavyweight hoodie if you have handled that. Ive noticed the newer Sitka merino feels a good bit thinner than other companies similar weight tops. The sitka 120 feels thinner than Kuiu's 120LT tops. The furnace is going to feel substantially heavier than the 330 - the kiln is probably a closer comparison to the 330 despite the stated weight difference. I had the 330 and sent it back and will stick with the furnace for late season hunts. Probably 90% of my hunting clothes are Sitka….the furnace is the only FL set I own. But in that weight class, I havent found anything better.

Furnace set is excellent. However, I really like Kuius synthetic Baselayers. They dry stupid fast, and I'm the outcast here, but hate the way merino feels against my skin. Kuius is much nicer feeling.

Check out Minus33 expedition weight, and the Black Ovis Keele stuff. I have both and really like them for late season.

I’m with you on merino next to skin. I know that’s how it’s supposed to be worn, but it feels clammy so I wear the “fishnet” style base and merino over that for late season. The fishnet wicks sweat better and the merino holds it and I like the air cushion it gives me.

But Sitka quality and layout is better than FL by a mile on every piece I own or have tried. Unfortunate that I like FL camo patterns better.

My Sitka 330 long underwear feel too heavy to me unless it’s single digits or under, but when it’s that cold I’m usually on the ground so I can get up and move too.

I have the furnace top and bottoms, they’re great for cold weather.

Mind blowing take though, sweat heavy if your dragging deer even in negative temps. So have a plan

Agree with this, i use the Kuiu peloton 97 as my base layer, love them!
