Sizing for Cruzr XC

Been hunting 30 years. Never used a saddle, but wanting one for when I need to make quick adjustments. Leaning towards cruzr or phantom. Found a cruzr xc size 3. Im a 36 waist in jeans which is the minimum for that size. Anyone with that waist size confirm if size 3 will work or should I try to find size 2? I'm central Illinois, temps ranging from possible 70s early season to single digits late season. So clothing thickness will vary.
Thanks for any advice!

Im in the same boat and I felt like it was big on me until I had a bunch of clothes on. I liked the Cruzr but sold it because of that reason. I will be trying a bunch this off season and if I don't get one I really like I will get a Cruzr size 2

I was on the border of a size 1 and 2, got the 2 and felt it was just to big, felt like when sitting the bottom webbing did most of the support. Sold it but wonder if a size 1 would have been a better fit. I am a 32 waist, slim 152 pounds, not enough junk in the trunk to fill the size 2 mesh.

I’m 36” jeans but measure 38” waist actually
6’1” and 215 pounds

I have the size 3..... I like more of a cradle or hammock feel to my saddles. I also had the size 2 but like the size 3 better. I sit more than lean when I saddle hunt.

I'm a size 34 waist (with a little slack, I don't like tight waist jeans) and a size 2 Cruzr XC is perfect for me.

I called Chad (owner) and gave him my measurements and said I was going to wear it from 1 layer to 4 layers.....he said "size 2, I have no doubt".

I'd hate for you to get one and not like it due to sizing. Do you have until next season to look in the classifieds?

Thanks for all the advice! Sounds like I need to pass on this one and wait on a size 2 or phantom.

I'm a 37 and size 3 is really comfortable with jeans. I only will have merino base and stratus bibs at most under it.
I would like to try a size 2 just to see if there is any difference.
