Skinny guy fighting off hip pinch

oh yeah the JX3 is a lot more heavy but it carries like it weights nothing and it's more comfortable on my back than a daypack, also I've found that I don't need to stand although you can it's just more movement.I was never able to stay still in any saddle and got busted lots of times for moving but I can sit still in jx3.It Just works for me your mileage may vary

I believe you in that it carries well. I have a molle 2 frame setup like the one on the jx3 and its awesome. Honestly, I believe ill end up having the same issue with movement. I like to sit most of the time and unless I can get this hip pinch sorted out a little better, I don't see myself being able to sit still unless leaning. I am going to give it another year or so, most likely ill end up using my mantis for bow hunting and im sure ill own a jx3 by next year. Best of both worlds

I’m 5’8” 165 and to get rid of hip pinch all I did was play with my tether height and where the saddle was positioned. It gets said a bunch on here but everyone is built differently you just have to spend time in it and adjust till you get what works for you that and like anything harness related there are going to be things that are not the most comfortable until your body gets in shape for it. When I did my first long sit this year I was amazed at how much difference it made just adjusting things until i was comfy. But small changes make big differences. Good luck at figuring out what works for you.

Hey guys I’m looking for help I’m about 6’ and 140 lbs with a 29 inch waist and I just got a Tethrd mantis and I’m struggling with a little hip pinch problem anyone got any ideas or tips
Make sure that you’ve tried hooking the leg straps to the far end hip loops, not the crotch loops. That can make a huge difference and it’s an easy fix. You can also try the micro adjusters in addition to that. I hike in with the straps hooked to the crotch loops and then switch to the hip loops at the tree.
