Tether Push Up Pole
I cut a PVC tee in half, cut away a bit of the inside with a knife for clearance and screwed it on the end of my 11 foot extension pole. I was able to push a tether almost 17 feet up a telephone pole from the ground. A second tether or lanyard should enable me to push the main tether further up while hanging about 15 feet above the ground from the second tether.
I later went to the park where I am not supposed to climb trees and tried the push pole on a tree. The bark was so rough I couldn't get the tether more than about 10 feet up the tree. I gave up, got out my throwbag and hit the crotch 20 feet up on my first underhand toss. I felt like Sandy Kofax. I had a fine time hanging out 20 feet up. I am not sure where the pole method is heading for me.
There was another dead tree I tried it on where it worked well. Did not climb the dead tree.
