Smaller diameter eye to eye

I upgraded my tether to a 9mm htp rope from Dano with the intention of using it as a rappel when I'm done. The problem I'm encountering is that the 8mm eye to eye is too thick to get a good purchase on the 9mm rope, and it is out of the standard 60-80% diameter standard for friction knots.

Are there any available smaller diameter eye to eye cords? My searches haven't really turned anything up.

Is it just that since we dont exert as much force on our ropes (as say a rock climber) and are able to use smaller ropes that we are up the creek and not a big enough demand for stuff like this exists?

Edit: I'd like to keep using a distel, so I'd prefer an eye to eye and not something like the jammy or autoblock

If your eye to eye is long enough you can just add one more top turn to your distel, You can have wes spur make one up for you.

Im looking for the same. Not really any pre made options that I've seen in the 6mm realm of an eye to eye. A lot of dudes especially those running oplux or htp seem to really like the 6mm sterling trc, though youd have to use a double fishermans to make your loops or diy sewn eyes unless you can find someone to do it for you.

6mm trc. “Figure 8” knot to start and it took too much rope so I switched to a poachers knot. Now that it has cinched down is compact and stays in place. I don’t remember who suggested poachers on one of the distel threads but I’m liking it.

Arent a poachers knot and a fishermans knot on a loop the same knot? What am I missing? Looks the same to me.

Does a fisherman’s have one more loop?
So a double fishermans knot consists of two double overhand knots tied around each others ropes.

A poachers knot is a double overhand tied around its own rope to form a loop.

A scaffold knot is a triple overhand tied around its own rope to form a loop.

I THINK that was me. The poachers knot has two wraps. The fisherman's on a loop has 3. Otherwise, its the same.
