Not a new mod but I took an old WE Stepp bag and a Walmart clearance pullover that never got worn. Cut out the bottom, cut up the pullover and used the elastic bottom of the pullover as a channel to run the shock cord through.

About an hour of hand sewing and I’m left with a Stepp bag with rope storage on bottom for easier deployment. And two pockets that meet in the middle just like your hoodie pullovers to store aiders.

This is real tree something or another. I’ve got some tiger stripe camo I couldn’t bring myself to cut up.
