So far a complete bust down the actual deer hunting part of the trip. Been raining for a couple days and nothings been moving out here. But... he’s having a good time. He’s not a fan of heights so we’re are box hunting....sitting, leaving after this one. Hope of of our crowd gets lucky this evening. There’s 3 groups out. Had 5 this am and then the rain hit.

Tried to post a couple pics but signal is horrible. And I love it. Hahaha. Peace out homies.

Now then, get your equipment--your quiver and bow--and go out to the open country to hunt some wild game for me.

Home finally. Two does down. Both of the yoots dropped a couple smallish doe’s. And one of the other old folks took out a momma sow. All in all, turned out to be a good weekend. Told my son that I wouldn’t shoot that one. But as this was his first ever, and prolly the last one this season.. it was up to him. Told him when he had a good shot. Told him again how to breathe and squeeze.. said ok take your shot in three. Two. And he let it rip. Guess he made up his mind. Proud kids. Cooler full of deer and pig. 4 hour drive home and a couple hours before I’m up for church early in the am. I love this time of year!!!!

Okay. Goodnight y’all

Nicely done. Some of my fondest memories are in the woods with my children
