Love my saddle but after 3 hours lower back gets score. Anyone think the back band would help?

There’s no way I could last an hour in a saddle without my back band!

That’s the JX3. Built for comfort!

Sounds like you need to maybe slide your saddle up a bit to get better lower back support. I find when it rides to low it’s hard to get comfortable. Keep adjusting till it’s right. Reducing back pain is my primary reason for hunting in a saddle. With my Kestrel I hardly ever use my back band especially when leaning and can go all day without. When sitting it becomes much more important especially for sits longer than 4-5 hours. Seems to me I need my back band much more with my Mantis. Not quite sure why the difference but suspect it’s how low or high I wear it. Need to experiment with it more. Only have 3 hunts out of it so far.

Id rather forget my linesman belt than my back band. I'm still tweeking it but today i made a head/neck band out of one of me sons fleece hoodies he grew out of for a pillow. Kinda like a fleece saddle you put on your head and it supports your neck.........Zzzzz

I just used a cheap rifle sling and hook both ends to my tether biner. They already have adjustment on one end. You'll never go w/out it.

I use a hunter safety systems lineman’s belt. The caribiners in the pic stay on my harness and I put the belt behind my shoulders and attach it to my tether in the same caribiner my saddle bridge is on.

See my comment above. My lineman’s belt doubles as my back strap.
