Quick question for those of you using spartan forge. Is it the payment supposed to billed yearly or monthly?

I saw this on DIY Sportsman but at the time it wasn't available for purchase yet. Who is using this now and what are your thoughts? Nothing beats boots on the ground real time scouting IMHO prove to me otherwise.

I bought kinda of late so can't judge it experience. I listen to the podcast from truth from the stand I think it's legit. If its monthly it to expensive for me.

I got the annual ($19.99). I signed up for emails and didn’t know you could pay until January. Don’t know when it went live. At this point I can’t say it’s worth renewing next year. I mean if it did what the guy says it does that would be another story. I heard the guy on several podcasts, and was really looking forward to what he was selling. Just haven’t seen it yet. As a matter of fact I’m not 100% sure how to use the data its gives me. Really cant tell a benefit over DeerCast.

I have it, didn't use it much. I will keep my subscription thru next season.

I’m a data scientist theoretically (it’s more like being an electrician) I’ve been eyeballing this. How much of the data do you get vs just a summary?

This is what the current version gives you. With no real instructions on what it means, or how to interpret it. Don’t know if there’s a plan to update or offer more, but it’s not what I thought it was going to be by his description.

Ohhh I can see how a lot of this would be helpful, though I’m not sure that this counts as machine learning. More a big ETL flow with some algorithms on it feeding into local dashboards.

The moon cycles are cool as hell if accurate because of ungulate biology **** everything is length of day and moon light.

I’d look to see if this is actually live data or is this a modeled data set pushed to your mobile device.

Yes predominate wind direction data for how to analyze ingress and egress into the chosen hunt area(s). Moon phases if you believe that has an impact, Temperature changes especially average Temperatures so you can predict the best cold fronts and magnitude of the temperature drop(s), the Neural Network dataset seems very interesting too not sure I completely know what that means but I'm assuming instinctual movements based on time of year etc. and how that relates to a given set of conditions. I don't see anyone doing anything with hunting pressure though.

The moon phases are less useful than total hours of daylight for calculating the Rut. But that’s second hand information from Wired To Hunt. Good podcast imho, I would use it to get localized wind data for sure. As a public land hunter (if anyone in Wi needs extra hands or a coyote/squirrel etc hunter lmk) I would love to be able to see live wind data from the field when picking my parking lot etc.

currently I’m mostly using the prevailing winds.

Any updates on those that used it? My Onx subscription comes due next month and possible looking for something new.

I'm very interested but I'm still happy with Onx at this point. Trying to manage predictability of movement during daylight hours is my biggest need but I don't think anyone is completely there yet. Hunt wise has a weather-based movement predictor based on Jeff Sturgis' algorithms but mostly its just 10 degree or more temperature drops. Too me, that's all I need to know and I don't necessarily need an app to make it fancier, but do I have that as well? Of course!!! Anyway,I'd be interested in what others are saying. Seek One had some good videos with the owner/creater and his background etc. He seems like a great guy and down to earth. Not as Nerdy as I thought he would be but utilized some of his Military experience in developing the App. Not sure how much that really is true or just marketing hype..... how are you really to know for sure???? I know Beau Martonik switched over to it a year or so ago and he was an Onx promoter at one point.

I’m not sold on the movement data. The UAV imagery is nice but it’s only available in certain areas. I would say most of these guys promoting it are doing so because it pays well or it gets their name out there. It’s not a bad app by any means, I just don’t see it being better than onx.
