Spurs - packing in and out??

So I recently have been practicing with the new set of tree climbing spurs...need lots of practice!! So these spurs are too long for my pack - they stick way out the top -

How are you guys packing them in and out - I just haven't got this style of hunting down yet...???

I carry mine in. Bow in 1 hand, spurs in the other. Sometimes I strap them to the outside of my pack as well.

my pack has straps on the bottom and I simply attach them there like you would a sleeping pad.

x2 on bedroll straps for spurs - also works well for an 8 pack of stepps

This is because your Spurs are the size and weight of a couple of q-tips!

+1. I like to carry mine in my hand so when I get to the tree I don't have to take my pack off. I get to the tree, set my bow down, strap the spurs on and start climbing.
