I am having major false trigger issues with this POS camera. killing my batteries which on old WildEdge (old school) lasted months.
SpyPoint did not process and autopay (during the second rut/nice 8 point in the area.) . the customer service is only available in a chat fomat. all Emails are Do Nt Reply.
(not a friendly group. Buth got my money which works 100% of the time with no defects. The solution they offer is fo ME to go deep in counrty, bring the camera back, do a white wall test (24 hr) firmware update. All during the end of the late season when Im Skunked all season anyway.

Anyone here ever had any similar issues with other brands or this one?
What is you Cell Cam brand/service of choice for bowhunter on modest budget?
Will this Camera pass the float test/ 12guage test?

Check the browning site for deals. I really like Tatacam but some have had issues. Black Gate, maybe? I don’t know much about them. My buddy uses Stealth Cam with decent luck but the customer is suspect.
I really like TrailCam Pro. The reviews have been extremely helpful.

I have more than 40 Spypoint’s. They have good and bad. I do get some false triggers. Try updating the firmware. The customer service is chat based and not great. The price point for a lot of cameras is great. They do replace cameras readily if needed.

I agree, they are definitely hit or miss. I've had the best luck with the link micros and have one LM2 that is working great. 2 of the 3 flex cameras I bought quit sending pictures after several months of working great.

Did you turn your sensitivity down? I don't run any of my SpyPoints above medium sensitivity because of so many false triggers.

I have 2 spypoint. One is awesome and gets great battery life. The other literally goes through a set of batteries every 2 days.

Hadn't had time to mess with the second camera, but since it's a cell cam, I believe it does firmware updates automatically. I know it has one from November of this year and I didn't do it.

All things considered, I would buy SpyPoint again even if this one turns out to be a dud.

Had Spypoints. Got rid of them. Issues are to be expected, however, when you can't resolve them with any form of practical customer service it's a failure for me. Their customer service ranks at the top for me, of all brands, as the absolute worst.

Do yourself a favor and get rid of them. I've tried 4 different types of cell cams: spypoint, Moultrie, Muddy, and Bushnell. Moultrie has been the top ,followed by Bushnell.

I have 9 of them. 4 Link Micros, 4 LM2s and a Flex. Had an issue with the Flex doing a forced firmware update and burning up brand new batteries(never sent another pic for a mont until I went out and pulled it). Brought it home, replaced batteries and by the time I had customer service on the line it was working. Total bill for 9 cameras is like $50 a year to get 250pics/mo/cam… no clue what the others charge but for that price it’s tough to beat.

But yeah from what I’m seeing there you need to turn the sensitivity down, and make sure it’s not doing multi-shot

$50? I pay $99/year but that is the same for 1 camera or 100.....

That just goes to show you lol. I switched to the Spypoints and have had only a few minor issues. Moultrie was the worst for me.

I threatened them with a social media MOAB. got them to give me a Lithium battery pack( i was 40 bucks in batteries). Next day after a firmware update and wall test the camera $h|πs the bed. They will send me a new one. I told them I'm On Saddle Hunter and Archery Talk. They complyed quickly. Here's the deal. My money was and is perfect condition. The camera isn't. That's a them problem. I'm moving on
