Has anyone used both squirrel steps and either of the new bullman steps? I was curious if the bullman steps are more comfortable and if the bulk of them is worth the trade off over squirrel steps? They look like they have more room. Last question, has anyone used the new bullman steps with an OCB strap instead of the ratchet strap? How does it hold?

Just did a hunt on 4 new Bullman Platform Steps on an OCB. No experience with Squirrel Steps, but have similar Pioneer Steps (and Skyhooks).

Very comfortable and worth the bulk tradeoff in my opinion. OCB worked fine. No issues.

Has anyone put in some time on the Platform steps ?
I’m guessing the actual surface area when in the tree is similar to Treehopper steps.

but I got a 10% email and it’s winter….

I have the Apex steps and have a few hunts with them. Due to their shape, you need to position them so that your foot evenly hits the entire step. Kinda hard to explain but if they're positioned at 3:00 and 9:00, your feet tend to slip down towards the edge. My feet would also start hurting after an hour or two from having that sharp edge pressing into my feet. However, they worked great along with my predator platform allowing much easier movement around the tree.

Looking at the shape of the platform ROS along with the fact that I already have the apex steps, I think having 2 platform steps at 3:00 and 9:00 along with 2 apex steps at 12:00 and 6:00 may be perfect.
