SRS climbing switch to tether?

Are SRS climbers switching to a tether when at height or staying on the main climbing rope and relying on the belay device? I assume have folks doing both, but curious what the breakdown looks like and also thoughts as to pros and cons.

You keeping both attached there? Or do you disconnect from your climbing/rappel rope and tuck it away until time to get down?

I add the tether once I get to height. I carried it up there for emergencies so I might as well put it to use. I leave my climbing line attached just as you see it. It would create unnecessary noise to remove it.
This how I climb.
