Are y’all just leaving a continuous loop of paracord in the tree as a preset? Then do you just clip your girth hitch to a portion and run it up? Any concerns with leaving the loops in the tree? Was going to put some up, but wanted to check. Not going to use my spurs this year

The few I have done are tied off to brush to keep it from being blown all over and wrapping around the tree. I’m pulling my tail end of my rope up and over. If I am hunting 20’ plus I also have to run the pull up rope through my loop on my climbing rope to make the girth farther up the tree than I can reach. That doesn’t make much since but unless your carrying twice as much rope as you need you won’t have both ends of your climbing rope in your hands to make the girth hitch.

My public rules allow a half inch penetration. Use a lag and tie off, been carabineer but had the biner hang up on me once?

You can use the Paracord or I use contractor s string been working good fore last couple years
