SRT - Tree Without Branches

He made it sound 1000x easier than it is. Id like to see a video actually. I found it near impossible.

On the paint roller there little hook on the bottom then I put girth hitch it go staightup the tree pulling it tight at the top then I pop it off it stays there I'll make a video of it soon. If still don't make sense

Ow yaleave your loop really big so don't get bound up on the bark or devide you rope in half pick up as high as u want then strap the pole to the tree so don't move then girth till it tight then remove the pole

A video would be great if you get a chance, but I think I can picture what you’re describing. I may give it a shot this weekend if I can. Thanks.

Do you carry a 6ft pole with you on all your hunts then?

I post a video of this Soon I figured this out so I got rid of my hand climber cuase I didn't need it anymore

I posted in another thread of using a 4' PVC pushing device for allowing me to put my cinched climbing line high enough that I can climb srt and use 3-4W.E. steps to get to hunting height. I use a foot ascender and a hybrid srt device. Once I reach the step I have placed a little higher than head level,I lanyard in and push/slide climbing line higher and reapeat. After the hunt rappell down, retrieve gear and pull down climbing line. Minimal sweat and connected the whole climb.
