Stealth Strips under the plastic washers on Lone Wolf sticks

Has anyone left the Stealth Strip materal underneath the Plastic Washers on the Lone Wolf climbing sticks?? What are the positives & negatives??
I cut away the material on one stick already as the instructions advise; but i dont really think its necessary? Just looking for someone with past experience.

Thanks. I was told to put Bow String wax on the washers regardless of whether ir not i remove the stealth strip matetial. I might try leaving the material on.

I have done them both ways and prefer Stealth Strips under the washers because it’s just so much easier with no trimming needed. Use a good amount of bow wax on both sides of the washers and try not to tighten the bolts too much. Just enough that you have slight resistance when flipping the step down. Doing this I never had any issues and my steps rarely need to be retightened. Bow wax is the key. Keeps everything well lubricated and operating very smoothly.
