Alright so my buddy shot a nice buck tonight on public. He’s using 2 blade 95 grain steelforce premium heads. So what happened was he hit this deer in the spine, and on his follow up shot he blew through the buck and must have glanced a rock or something hard. He said it went skipping off into the woods and he barely found the arrow.

This broadhead is still razor sharp though. It will literally still shave hair. The tip didn’t break at all, but the broadhead obviously isn’t still usable. I’m a little conflicted by this result. I don’t think that this would ever happen on impact with an animal, but this broadhead would be lethal even if it did. What do you all think??

They are good broadheads. I don't care what broadhead if you hit a rock or something hard they won't hold up. I impressed at how the head stayed together.
I am too. I’ve shot a few deer with steelforce and they are awesome. This is the first head I’ve even seen take any damage.

Like some of these guys said, failure is when it didn't do its job. This worked, but the integrity was because there may have not been enough steel to reinforce after the blow to the rock. 90 grains isnt holding to much metal imo. A good 200+ broadhead of the same size may or may not do better. But there would be more metal in it.
