Does anybody use Sterling 8mm Safetech Technora Rope for a tether / rappel rope.
I was wondering if this would be an adequate rope for this purpose and if anybody has any experience with it.

The answer is yes. The caveat is, what are you using to secure yourself and belay?

I use Sterling Olplux, which is an 8mm rope and has the technora sheath. It works fine. I use a Grigri+, which is out of spec for it; however, I use a change of direction which provides a 3:1 mechanical advantage and prevents it from slipping if the rope is above the feed out chute.

Haven't decided on belay yet. I am using wild edge steps right now and I am considering switching to one sticking and rappelling. I saw a good price on this rope and just curious if anybody uses it and what people's thoughts are on it.
