Today I received my tether . I got the 8.5’ tactical saddle rope from wild edge outdoors . It’s an 8 mm sterling oplux rope with a sewn eye . And I am very impressed with it at first impression . Does anyone HVE any experience with it ?

Many folks here including myself have used it. What info are you looking for? Do some searches as well you’ll find lots of info

Great rope. I like viking (sewn) splices. I'm very familiar with knots, but still trust professional rope manufactures more than myself (kinda). Like for eye to eye hitch cords. I can tie them all day, but don't feel like I need to worry about the professional sewn options.

It seems like a great rope . Any info on how it holds up to using a kong with it ? I prefer the ascender over a prusik

Awesome I’m glad to hear I made a good choice . I really do like how packable and small it is compared to my 11 mm rope that came with the saddle

It is so small and strong. I use oplux and a Kong combination as a tether when climbing on bolts, a rappel rope when one sticking, and a length for my lineman's belt. It is a great all around rope

I use it with with Beal cordage tied in a distel hitch and hitch tender for my linemans and tether.
