Still searching for best pack for filming

Although it is a little big, the Badlands summit might be able to carry everything you ask. You can carry the platform and camera gear in the pack, carry the sticks strapped on the sides and your bow strapped on the back. It is a big bag, but compresses much more compactly once everything is out and all the straps are pulled tight.

Hey Dave I'm not a real pack guy and I'm still looking for a new pack for later season hunts when I'm carrying more stuff in the woods with me. I found this site and they have a lot of different modular packs they reviewed. Anyway I'll share the link and let you comb through and see what you think. I thought there was some pretty cool stuff in there.

Dave if your interested in the horn hunter i have the main beam one id be willing to send your way if the current pack does not meet my needs. Its new but no tags you can use it no charge!! Ill keep you updated!!

I am really looking at the main beam as the best option. Sticks and camera arm strapped to it, platform and camera gear inside. Will carry my bow. I have actually made a strap hauler for my sticks and platform which makes them easy to throw over my shoulder/pack. The one thing about having a waist strap is that mean saddle must also be in the pack? I should have played with this more during the summer. I am also going to build my own camera arm similar to what Garrett (DIY Sportsman) did as I just do not need such a big camera arm (3rd arm carbon) between that and the base it is just way to bulky and heavy - there has to be a far better way to get this done?

Dave i have waist straps on all my packs. I always wear my saddle in and have not noticed an issue with hooking up to climb etc. Filming is not easy its more gear, more setup, more weight!! I have given up on filming for the past few years just because i have gotten lazy with carrying what i need...however i am refusing to give up on this and just need to get my rear in gear. This is the year but it adds a few steps.

Alright @DaveT1963 I'll give you my method but dont think I'm crazy. Out of all the expensive packs I've tried, my Alpz Grand Slam Turkey vest has been the best. The mod helium sticks fit perfectly and everything else I decide to take on any given day. I do have some simple modifications that keep everything quiet and secure but that's my base system. I also occasionally add a fanny pack style possible bag if for some reason I need a ridiculous amount of extra stuff.

I'm in the same boat as everyone else...still searching for a good mobile hunting/filming pack. Came across the Slumberjack packs while searching online. Looks like the new Hone and Carbine packs could fit the bill with their "beavertail system" that would be good for stashing short sticks, as well as the side pouches that would work for a camera arm. Might be worth checking out...

I think I just found it - thanks to the Horn hunter Full Curl review by D Rek.

I've been doing some searching as well, got a cheap Mossy Oak pack at ****s for 60 bucks, thought it would work, it's better than what I had but not enough room for camera gear or any cold weather stuff. I was looking at the Horn Hunter G2 and Main Beam, can't seem to make up my mind. Full Curl seemed like too much to me, curious to hear what you think @DaveT1963
