Just had an idea sitting in my stand. I took my right foot and put it in the very top step of my aider and then pulled the second step level with the forth and tied it off to the attachment belt which eliminates my stirrups.

Are you using stirrups and no platform?
I did that for a while but was using a 'onehair treeseat' that was a hard seat that you would actually SIT on

Also...I made a 4 stirrup rig so I could move around the tree. It it was difficult if your tether got too wrapped up and pulled you back

Did you ever try a premeasured attachment point? How did it work out. I'm considering only using stirrups and possibly climbing with only an aider, but I'm still new and looking for ideas

I messed with it a little and never got it to balance as well as stirrups or just using 2 aiders. With 2 aiders, you can stand on one and move the other one around the tree if you want to adjust your hunting position.

Using Aiders as stirrups allows you to move your feet up or down to change your posture without adjusting your tether. One foot can be on a lower rung than the other to shoot to the side for instance. You can just clip them together with a sling or short rope to keep them from spreading apart.
