TSLA is insane. I bought a few shares last year when I first opened my etrade acct and like most people wish I had bought more. I wanted to but convincing the wife it was worth it was tough. Still up 472% as of right now and the other stocks I got into before the dip have done okay. Basically holding everything until we're ready to buy a house and then I'll eat the taxes.

Reading a article on motley fool they expect Tesla to take a big hit this year. I just recently opened a Roth. I don’t think I’m buying Tesla. Seems to be a lot of concern for it this upcoming year.
What’s your thoughts
 
Watch out for a 6-10% pull back here before long on the whole market. Seen how red it was yesterday? That was only 1%. Wont be nowhere safe to hide when this happens.

Well I don't think I'm really qualified to give advice being a rookie but I read that article the Motley Fool guys wrote. They're smart fellas and I used there advice when I started out and still do.

My only concern with Tesla right now is based on them being added to the S&P. I read most stocks that are added don't do well after the fact. What I say to that is Tesla is not typical company. A lot of the naysayers say Tesla isn't going to stay on there path but I think Musk wants to excel at everything more than most and knows what's he's doing.

But do not take what I think as any inclination as me knowing what I'm doing. I know nothing more than my gut feelings and what I read which sounds like that's what you're doing.

Changed limit sell to 148.00.
Edit: Changed limit sell to 147.92.
Sold 100 WMT@147.92.
Profit $274.66 after commissions. Paid for my air rifle and pump.

I keep a very close eye on my Tesla. I agree with @Blinginpse and expect a market fallout but I'm in until it starts to drop. I used to say it was overpriced when it was $600 a share, then it went way up, split 1 to 5 and is back up at $760 ($3800 in pre-split numbers).

I came very close to dumping my entire portfolio.
 
At this point I think I'd have to consult a tax advisor if I sold my TSLA :grimacing:
 
Next week oughta be a good week to be a dope head in the market. If that gives ya a hint what ought be hot
