Stopping "sag" from haulers on Mantis?

I carry a SYS Hauler on one side with my tether and another Hauler on the other side with my step of rings and strap on hooks.

My Mantis sags from all the weight and even when tightened.

Any suggestions?

Carry them in your pack and clip them on when you hunt (I have small zip tie loops, on saddle for this and a small plastic carbineers on my DanO fleece bag). I attach a bag, a platform and 1 stick to my mantis when i get ready to climb - cinching the belt tight it doesn't sag at all.

I wrap/run my bridge through my bridge loops like @flinginairos does in this video (around 3:40 mark):
it helps act as a second belt and keeps my sys haulers from sagging down.

I'll keep my tether and LB daisy chained and girth hitched to my linesman loops. So once I wrap/cinch down my bridge I'll clip my tether/LB into the extra hanging loop of my bridge to keep from working itself loose. Works very well especially for those longer hikes in.

I do the same @heretic. I recently put a D-shaped plastic snap shackle on the closest molle loop on my right side which I then attach my bridge to. I have been liking it very much so far. I will most likely have to make modifications once I add layers.

@g2outdoors. The next add on to the Tethrd line should be an upper half to a turkey vest (lots of pockets) that attaches to the Molle belt.

On my mantis after i buckle it up and walk it always loosens up on me. It won't stay where i need it too and always adjusting it. Not sure why this is happening

My linesman’s belt (girth hitched to the left side) goes around my neck until I get to my spot. Had significant “sag issues” before going about it this way - super simple, quick and easy

Mantis needs a belt loop up front where the bridges are to loop the belt thru, this will hold the weight. Draw back is you would have to unbuckle and pull it out of the belt loop.

I'll give it a try. Thanks.

I also use the LB trick where I run the LB from a girth hitch on my left side up over my neck and back to my LB loop on the right side as a sort of make-shift suspender. It does get a bit uncomfortable though on longer walks and I've noticed that while it helps keep the front of the saddle from sagging the top of the butt of the saddle can sag while using this method. I've been toying with the idea of some clip on suspenders or rig some sort of suspenders through the molley loops but haven't actually made that happen yet.

I took a backpack accessory strap with a quick latch and just ran it through the linesman loops and pull it tight making a belt in a way. Everything stays high and tight then i have some extra strap and quick release in a pinch. For a while I ran a molle 2 waste belt attached with molle straps but it kept the saddle to high on the hips while in the tree but by far it was the most comfortable walking in and you could pack a mule attached to that.

I like this idea too. Thanks

Tonight I was trying to eliminate this issue. I have tried the battle belt and really liked it but it was getting a little too bulky. I dont like the way the sys haulers hang so low. This causes them to bounce and I actually had a strap on one rip off. The repetitive bouncing also pulls the mantis down. So I simply got some small zip ties and pulled them up higher on the belt by feeding them threw the mesh and fabric this holds them tighter against my hips. Doing this with fishing my amsteel bridge threw my bridge loop and tucking it back under my waist belt locks it in solid. I also run it a bit higher for the walk in and adjust while tethering in. I’m really going to like this set up! Hope this helps!

DanO at doublesteps.com is adding battle belts this weekend to the website. They look like they work pretty nice even with the commercially made saddles.

they are on the site under the misc. section.

What about linesman's belt around the back of your neck with a line from the top of your saddle up to the back of your neck. Sort of like the suspension on fanny packs almost.
