Supplies List for Sitdrag Saddle

Got everything in and tied together. Just went and tried it at ground level. Like it so far! I left my climbing sticks at my hunting property so haven't been able to climb up and try it yet.

Question about the SD bridge. What's the advantage of cutting off the bridge that comes sewn on the SD? The biggest thing I could see is that it was really long and put me sitting way below my tree strap. Any disadvantage other than that?

Just leave your sticks wherever they are. Get comfortable at ground level. Shoot from ground level. Learn how it feels when putting and taking weight off the sit drag. Moving around the tree. Taking weight off the left foot and moving to your left to get a shot and then go right. The bridge is crap. It don't turn well in the carabiner. Tie a bridge I bought a muddy life line and made all my stuff from it. Quick and easy.
Then bring 1 stick home and get comfortable the same way from 3 feet up. Then when you feel at home. Move up the tree higher and higher

Most of us are using a fixed bridge 18-24" in length of climbing rope. I use 11mm Yale bandit(same stuff that comes with an aerohunter) because I had some from my aerohunter. I tied it off at about 18" onto my sitdrag. The rope glides better through your biner for rotating and pivoting into different positions.

I personally hated the trophy line webbing tree strap and bridge, and it was the first thing I hacked off my sit drag.

Okay, that at least gives me an idea of how long. I'll break it out again tomorrow and try the webbing bridge. Thanks guys!
