I posted this idea in another thread a while back but got no response. I was wondering if we could have a forum for swap hunts? Not like I'll put you up at my house or anything like that but I thought maybe one guy could travel to another state and stay in a hotel nearby and the other fella that lives there could take him out on some hunts in the general area either on public or maybe even private if he has access to it. Doesn't have to be just deer hunts either. I myself always wanted to stick a big fat hog with an arrow as we don't have them here to hunt. I have also baited bear off and on for years in northern Maine and that seems to be something a lot of people might be interested in. Thoughts?

I like the idea. I'm out here in Montana so elk and antelope would probably be of interest to folks. I chase whitetails too, but would be interested in a whitetail rut hunt that was early November rut or December rut. Our rut here is November 10-30 or so I would hunt Montana then, but go some place else those other dates for something different.

A whitetail hunter from Montana... I thought whitetail were just a nuisance that mule deer hunters had to endure out there :)

If anyone is interested I got a hunt were u will have to deal with 100+ degree heat, venomous snakes and insects, hurricanes, mosquitos, lightning, 100% humidity, cactus, tiny deer in low numbers...
What about gators or perhaps a couple days of fishing if you own a boat. Come on MAN!! Think outside the box:tearsofjoy:

I don't think you need a formal forum. If you post that you have an awesome or unique hunting opportunity in the general hunting discussion forum, you'll get folks who are interested in catching or killing your critters.

If I'm being honest, I'm all for meeting new people and sharing cool opportunities. And I've met forum members and "exchanged hunts" if you will. But the member made me want to do that - not the opportunity. You may be better off having a "I'm not a psycho, and am enjoyable to be around" forum instead. Basically a dating app for hunting partners. The hunting opps will take a back seat to making sure you won't be miserable or tied up in a trunk for most folks.

Awesome idea.

I’m in Kansas. Get your tags!!! $$$

I’m headed to chase elk next fall but still deciding where. Been wanting to go on a wild boar hunt as well.

I have family in Wisconsin and Missouri so those states are up there for some out of state whitetail hunts. Or big lake fishing in WI.

Team Realtree used to hunt the Milk River in Montana. They used to see and shoot plenty of nice bucks out there. I saw a video the other day where David Blanton was reminiscing about the good old days when he had just started with them. One of my dream destinations.

I always thought it would be neat to have a secret saddle hunter only sub forum where guys can swap scouting info for guys that like to travel to hunt. I run a bunch of cameras in the ANF and spend a lot of time in the woods and only hunt about 10% of what I scout  (I have a couple good private spots but like to keep a plan b, c, d, and e)

Gotta give up some good scouting intel to gain access or something to keep it fair.

Aaah! What's a couple of days in a trunk between fellow saddle hunters.

I’m in Colorado so elk and mule deer. I like the idea but never feel I can offer that much. OTC is always tough especially with the increase of hunters and new restrictions. However, I am always will to help if you make the trip.
