Yes, i remember that post, Dont believe that fling did that. Was it my imagination or did someone say that they altered their Guido whale tale so it swung out of the way during the climb and then rotated it back once they were ready to set up?

Anyway you could post some pics of the set up? Only irritating thing about the Guido IMO is that thing occasionally stabbing the back of my calfYes, i remember that post, Dont believe that fling did that.
All i did was drill the rivets out, moved the tail shorter and bolted back using washers and lock nuts. Works well. Keeps the tail from getting stuck in the top of my runber boots while climbing

What you did was just move it back some correct?
I have got to find something to quiet the flop of the tail against the back of the vest...thump thump thump as I walk....I put tape on the fork to quiet the buckle noise.....Also...do you use the leg straps...I am no longer using mine and seems fine...my question is what if I accidentally come out of the straps....or the tail doesn't engage in the fall....seems like I would slide right out of the GW and head southbound. I am seriously thinking about going back to using them for added security????
Smart to use for added security......I use the leg straps as I climb and come back down. As I hunt, I usually lower my shoulder straps and remove the leg straps.
That's happens when you r in your hunting position (tethered to tree)Plus if you were to fall, the web will catch you in a sitting position. The tail will help stop the collision with the tree, or you may hit the tree sideways which will also protect your head and keck area
